Real Madrid looking optimistic to sign Diogo Dalot this summer

On Thursday night, Manchester United played Barcelona in the first leg of their round-of-32 Europa League encounter, but they couldn’t start one of their important players at the Camp Nou

After suffering a hamstring injury in early January, Diogo Dalot just made a comeback for the Premier League’s top clubs. Despite the Portuguese’s stellar performances this season, Erik ten Hag has chosen Aaron Wan-Bissaka to face the Blaugrana, albeit his fitness may be the factor.

Officials at Manchester United are concerned about Dalot’s contract predicament because agreements for a new deal have not yet been reached despite the fact that his present one is set to expire next summer.

If the scenario does not change, Real Madrid will reportedly want to sign the 23-year-old at the end of the current campaign, according to Diario AS.

Due to the ageing of Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez, as well as the former’s decreased performance in comparison to previous seasons, Los Blancos have issues at right back.

Real Madrid will probably need a new right back in the upcoming seasons, and Dalot would be a great alternative if they could get him for a discount.
