Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos sustained a thigh injury in training this Thursday
Toni Kroos, Real Madrid’s midfielder, is fighting to make the Champions League match against PSG.
The German skipped training on Thursday and will undergo more testing, but the situation does not appear to be improving.
Kroos is virtually probably out against Real Sociedad on Saturday night, and he is also in serious doubt for the return leg against Paris Saint-Germain at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, knowing they must overcome a 1-0 deficit. With Real Madrid already lacking players for the match, Kroos’ absence might be significant. Casemiro and Ferland Mendy will both miss the game after receiving yellow card suspensions in the first leg.
This season, manager Carlo Ancelotti has been criticised by both fans and the media for his lack of team rotation. Due to injuries to Karim Benzema, Los Blancos have looked short in front of goal recently. Since returning from injury at the beginning of October, Kroos has played in all but one match.
If the German is unable to play against the Ligue 1 leaders, Los Blancos will suffer a double blow because Casemiro is also banned for that game.
Ancelotti had previously hinted that Kroos might fill in for Casemiro, with Fede Valverde and Luka Modric flanking him, but the Italian may now have to search for other options, such as Eduardo Camavinga.
