Real Madrid is making a move for departing Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards.

According to The Independent, Edwards has been credited with helping to overhaul the recruitment system in place at Anfield, is set to leave Liverpool next summer.

The report also adds that whilst pursuing a number of Liverpool stars, including Salah, they changed their top target to Liverpool sporting director himself.

Perez accepts that Los Blancos will have to alter their transfer strategy in light of the failed European Super League project. The Spanish clubs facing particular financial hardship since the Covid pandemic.
