According to sources close to the negotiations, the agent of FC Porto midfielder Rodrigo Mora has formally offered the 17-year-old’s services to the La Liga giants.
Jorge Mendes, the super-agent representing the youngster, has informed the Real Madrid board that the Portuguese sensation is available for a transfer. However, the deal comes with a significant price tag.
Porto values their academy jewel at €70 million, the amount of his release clause. While the Spanish capital club maintains a strong relationship with Mendes, they currently view that valuation as steep.
A reduction in price would require direct negotiation with the Dragons, which appears unlikely at this stage.
Mora is not a new name in the offices at Valdebebas. Real Madrid’s scouting department has followed his rapid rise for a long time and remains fully aware of his technical quality.
