Jude Bellingham has reportedly been linked to a summer transfer to Real Madrid

The player, who is prepared to leave Borussia Dortmund at the conclusion of the season, appears to have given the club his or her approval. Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation, claiming Real Madrid and Bellingham are now nearing an agreement. They are about to agree to a five-year contract that will keep the player in the league through 2028.

Bellingham simply needs to sign the document for it to become official, so Madrid can make the announcement. Fair warning should be given that the Spanish juggernauts and Borussia Dortmund still need to agree on transfer fees.

Dortmund is focused on securing the highest possible price for their star midfielder, who will probably cost more than €100 million. Since the two clubs get along well, a compromise might be feasible. Sebastian Kehl, the sporting director of Dortmund, has, however, flatly declined to discuss Bellingham’s future in a recent interview.

Real Madrid, however, seems to be in a strong position to land a deal for Bellingham. The Spanish powerhouses, according to Fabrizio Romano, hope to seal the deal before the opening of the summer transfer window in May.

At this moment, a transfer is reportedly closer than ever, and the Merengues will work to reach a deal with Dortmund as soon as possible. Los Blancos will also be looking for a new right-back and attacker, so Bellingham won’t be their only target.
