Florentino Perez Not Worried About Super League Getting Cancelled

According to reports, Jose Mourinho is being considered for a spectacular comeback to Real Madrid. Florentino Perez, the president of Los Blancos, has identified Mourinho as Alvaro Arbeloa’s successor, according to The Athletic. According to the report, Perez has decided to spearhead the club’s search for a new manager.

This is a change from the strategy used by Madrid’s general manager, Jose Angel Sanchez, to choose Xabi Alonso as Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement last summer. However, the regrettable way Alonso’s stint ended has caused Perez to reconsider, despite the report’s assertion that several club voices are against re-hiring Mourinho.

Mourinho led Real Madrid from May 2010 to June 2013 before taking over at Benfica in September of last year. During that period, he guided Los Blancos to a Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey, and the 2011–12 La Liga championship. Perez wants to bring Mourinho back to the Bernabeu since it appears that the Spanish powerhouses will not win any significant trophies for the second consecutive season.

José Mourinho welcome back to Spain amid Real Madrid links

In the Copa del Rey round of 16, Real Madrid was shockingly eliminated by second-tier Albacete in Arbeloa’s first match as manager, and they were eliminated from this season’s Champions League at the quarterfinal stage by Bayern Munich.

A €3 million (£2.6 million) break provision in Mourinho’s Benfica contract is crucial to Madrid’s rumoured pursuit of him. It enables Mourinho or Benfica to terminate his employment early within ten days of the team’s last league game.

Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, has stated that he would be happy to see José Mourinho return to Spain’s top division amid rumours that the Portuguese manager may take over at Real Madrid once more.Tebas stated, “If that’s what Real Madrid and its management decide, it will be good for Real Madrid in this case,” about Mourinho’s possible comeback. “And Mourinho is always a show, a spectacle, and that’s good for LaLiga.”

After firing Xabi Alonso in January, Madrid appointed Arbeloa, a former player under Mourinho, as head coach. For the second consecutive season, Los Blancos are expected to finish the season without winning any significant awards.
