Rodrygo is getting more minutes and poses a threat to Marco Asensio’s position at the club.
According to the Spanish outlet Marca, Real Madrid could reportedly lose Marco Asensio. The 26-year-old wishes to make an exit from Santiago Bernabeu in hopes of getting more playtime elsewhere.
It is reported that the Spanish winger is attracting attention from the Premier League with Manchester United and Arsenal both showing keen interest. But, with the transfer window coming to a close, they will need to act fast if they wish to acquire his services.
The Palma-born sensation has had a decent campaign last season. He participated in 41 matches for Ancelotti’s side, scoring 11 goals and adding two assists across all competitions.
The Spanish international seems to have recaptured his form prior to his ACL injury, which had ruled him out for the 2019/20 season. He is primarily a right-winger but remains capable of playing in the centre of the park.
Ancelotti is preferring Rodrygo over Asensio. Rodrygo is getting more minutes and poses a threat to Asensio’s position at the club. The European winners boss has made it clear that he will not stop the Spanish forward from leaving since it would be better for his career at this point.
