In order to take advantage of Harry Kane’s contract situation, Real Madrid is rumoured to have him on their short list for this summer

According to Cadena SER, Kane has informed Tottenham that if a good offer comes in for him this summer, he would prefer to go. The 29-year-old is entering the final year of his contract this summer, and this is why Real are interested in him.

Kane, at 29 and in the condition he is in right now, would be the ideal replacement for Karim Benzema, who will turn 36 at the end of the year.

Kane has nonetheless managed to perform admirably for a Spurs squad that has been utterly dismal this season, tallying 30 goals in all competitions, his best performance since 2020/21.

According to a story in The Guardian published yesterday, Manchester United is getting ready to increase its interest in signing the England captain, giving Real some competition in their pursuit of the player who is just 49 goals away from breaking the Premier League scoring record.

When Real comes calling, you can never rule them out because he is so close to breaking Alan Shearer’s record that you would expect him to want to stay in the Premier League should he wish to move out.

9. Javier Hernandez

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez was best known as a poacher with the pace of a cheetah. The highly-energetic Mexican was brought in for cheap at United and turned into a superstar. Fans enjoyed his consistent goal threat with Wayne Rooney behind him.

But injuries and a lack of development saw Hernandez’ minutes drop slowly as better strikers took his place. Eventually, he was sold off to Bayer Leverkusen but not before a short loan stint at Real Madrid.

8. Angel Di Maria – Players Who Played For Real Madrid And Manchester United

Angel Di Maria remains one of the players who did achieve glory after leaving Real Madrid but was still a bad sale.

After a £25m move from Benfica, he featured in 200 games and was hailed as one of the world’s best under Jose Mourinho. Di Maria came to life under the Portuguese, tearing up teams on the counters. Unfortunately, the relationship soured towards the end when he was asked to sit out of Argentina’s 2014 World Cup final against Germany.

He was sold to Manchester United that summer for £56.7m when he was still at his peak. Spells at Old Trafford and now at PSG have not been as fruitful by he was one of the players Real Madrid should not have sold. He is one of the players who played for Real Madrid and Manchester United.

7. Michael Owen

Michael Owen’s best years was spent at Liverpool which tragically ended after his switch to Real Madrid. At the height of his powers, the English forward decided to leave Anfield and join the Galacticos. He featured alongside Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Raúl, Luís Figo, Zinedine Zidane and his England teammate David Beckham.

But he could never regain his starring form and was shipped back to England within a year to Newcastle United. Alex Ferguson snapped him up in his later years as a backup striker and won the Premier League in 2011.

6. Gabriel Heinze

Gabriel Heinze had a career spread across many clubs but he spent his prime years at Real Madrid and Manchester United.

He moved to Old Trafford after helping Paris Saint-Germain to the Coupe de France in 2004. He cost the Red Devils £6.9m at the time and immediately established himself as the starting left-back. But injuries took a rather large toll on him, forcing Alex Ferguson to drop him from the starting line up.

He demanded for a transfer to Liverpool but United rejected the £6.8m offer and sent him to Real Madrid instead for a higher fee of £8m.

5. Casemiro – Players Who Played For Real Madrid And Manchester United

The Red Devils shelled out £50.7m plus £8.5m in add-ons for the Brazilian international last summer. He has been highly successful at Santiago Bernabeu and is considered as one of the best midfielders of this generation. Casemiro has gone on to lift three La Liga trophies, five Champions League titles and several domestic cups in his illustrious career as a Real Madrid player.

Even at Man United, he has cemented his status as one of the Premier League’s top midfielders. His ability to cope with the pace and technicality of the Premier League  has startled several fans and pundits around the world.

4. Raphael Varane  – Players Who Played For Real Madrid And Manchester United

One of the best French defenders in recent times, Varane went on to make 336 appearances for Los Blancos, helping them to three La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions Leagues, four FIFA Club World Cups, three UEFA Super Cups and one Copa del Rey.

The World Cup winner joined United in the summer of 2021 and endured a tough debut season in the Premier League but has managed to rediscover his best form under the guidance of Erik Ten Hag in the 2022/23 campaign.

3. Ruud van Nistelrooy

One of Netherlands’ most skillful players ever, Van Nistelrooy enjoyed some classy moments in English football. He won the Premier League title, the FA Cup and the League Cup and the Community Shield during his 5 season with United.

In his final year, Alex Ferguson revealed that the forward wanted to leave. Two weeks later his transfer was confirmed to Real Madrid on a three-year contract. Real paid out €14m for him and won two La Liga titles with him leading the line.

2. David Beckham

David Beckham wanted out of Manchester United the day Sir Alex Ferguson threw a boot at him in the dressing room. Both of their relationship started to deteriorate once Beckham’s life outside of football got larger. The 2001/02 season was his best as a Red Devil as he scored 16 goals but United moved him on another season later.

Barcelona had almost signed the English superstar before Real Madrid swooped in with €37m of their own. He was a part of the recruitment project set by Florentino Perez at the time. He is one of the players who played for Real Madrid and Manchester United.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo – Players Who Played For Real Madrid And Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo is perhaps the greatest player on this list of Red Devils and Madristas. No doubt the 5-time Balon d’Or winner is one of the best players to have ever played for both clubs.

One of the most astonishing fact is that this man is at the top of Real Madrid’s most expensive departures. It is quite remarkable to think that Cristiano Ronaldo was Real’s most expensive signing for half a decade and yet at age 33, he became their most costly departure.

Ronaldo’s release clause was set at €900 million. However, after falling out with management, the five-time Balon d’Or winner wanted out. He requested for his release clause to be lowered and departed for €117 million in 2018 for Juventus.

Real Madrid has never looked the same since. He is one of the players who played for Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Real Madrid will look to sign Kylian Mbappe as he refuses to renew his contract at PSG

When Kylian Mbappe chose to snub Real Madrid in favour of extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, Real Madrid were left furious

The 24-year-old abruptly changed his mind and chose to stay in the French city after the Merengues thought they had the signing all but sealed. However, as he approaches the last 12 months of his contract, Mbappe’s future is certain to spark significant debate once more in 2019.

The Frenchman’s contract was renewed by PSG for a further three years, through 2025. However, the new contract he signed contained a crucial element. Mbappe signed a contract for two years, concluding in 2024, with the possibility of an extension into 2025. The condition is that in order to start the extension, both sides must agree.

The France forward is reportedly not eager to extend his contract by another year, which might result in his becoming a free agent in 2024, according to L’Equipe. Mbappe’s contract was renewed not long after unrest rumours and fresh Real Madrid connections appeared. Despite the fact that everything appears to be in order, the PSG superstar is not fully keen on staying at the team for very long. Mbappe must decide whether to extend his contract until 2025 before July 31, 2023, and as of now, he has no plans to do so.

Real Madrid is aware of this scenario and may try to sign Mbappe, 24, if he becomes a free agent after this year. The 2024 contract expiration of the club’s captain Karim Benzema need a replacement. And the two leading candidates that Los Blancos are considering are Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

The Frenchman’s refusal to extend his PSG contract makes the chance of him becoming unemployed next year extremely plausible, which means a transfer to plausible Madrid might once again be on the table.

Vinicius will now be available to play Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian winger was suspended in Real’s last game against Valencia for hitting Valencia’s Hugo Duro in stoppage time.

He was racially abused for five games after a ruling by the Spanish Football Federation on Tuesday and his suspension would be overturned.

The committee has ordered the closure of Mario Kempas stand for five matches and imposed a fine of €45,000.

Vinicius made a strong statement by saying La Liga “belongs to racists” and several players from around the globe have offered their support.

The Brazilian winger has frequently been targeted in La Liga and the latest incident came at Valencia’s Mestalla.

“The RFEF Competition Committee considers that the referee’s assessment was determined by the omission of the entirety of the play that took place, which affected the refereeing decision.”

“The fact that he [the referee] was deprived of a decisive part of the facts led him to adopt an arbitrary decision. And this is because it was impossible for him to properly assess what happened.”

There are now three types of player renewals for Real Madrid

The players that have reached an extension with the club are represented by the first group. Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, and Toni Kroos, all of whom will wear all-white next season, are included on this list.

The second group consists of those who have not yet signed a contract with the club but are sending out encouraging signals about a renewal in the coming weeks. Such an instance can be found with Marco Asensio.

Nacho Fernandez and Dani Ceballos are among the participants in the final group. The aforementioned pair are keeping their options open but haven’t ruled out the possibility of returning for the next season. They are leaving Santiago Bernabeu with each passing day. Inter Milan has reportedly summoned Nacho Fernandez and is waiting for him to announce his choice, according to reports from Jose Felix Diaz. The Italians give him a consistent place in the team, which he sorely lost in the capital of Spain.

The player has accepted a renewal offer from Real Madrid, who have also put one on the table. The club is now watching for him to announce his choice. The centre back has frequently expressed his affection for Real Madrid and his delight in playing at the Bernabeu. Other than the absence of a starting position, nothing is keeping him from the team.

However, the player believes that at this point in his career, playing time is priceless. He’s 33 years old today, and he doesn’t want to play at the highest level for his remaining years. Only 16 of Real Madrid’s 35 league games have been started by Nacho, who has made 24 appearances and contributed to two goals. Additionally, he has oversaw seven clean sheets and averages 6.1 defensive plays per game.

Top 5 Players Who Failed At Real Madrid - Biggest Flops

Who are the biggest 6 players who failed at Real Madrid?

5 players who failed at Real Madrid? Do you want to know about the 5 players who failed at Real Madrid? You think you can guess the 5 players who failed at Real Madrid?

Over here we will take a look at the 6 players who failed at Real Madrid. These are the players who were good enough for Real Madrid to chase them but later failed at the club.

Real Madrid are one of the biggest clubs in the history of football. However, not every footballer who goes there can succeed. The Santiago Bernabeu is a tough but rewarding place to succeed.

While there are successful transfers like that of Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, there are also flop moves like Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic. Let us check out the 5 players who failed at Real Madrid!

Top 6 Real Madrid Flops In Recent History

Real Madrid have a rich history in world football. That comes with signing some of the best players by spending record amounts in the transfer market. We have seen stars shuffle in and out of the Galactico doors for years but not all of them have been blockbuster hits.

We have seen our fair share of Real Madrid flops who could not cope with the pressure. You get very limited chances to impress yourself in Los Blancos colours and if you don’t, chances are you will be axed. We have compiled a list of players who failed at Real Madrid. Here are the top five players who failed at Real Madrid in recent history –

6. Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard: Players Who Failed At Real Madrid
bildbyran

Eden Hazard’s deal to Real Madrid, which had been in the works for ten years, looked hopeless the moment the winger showed up overweight for preseason practise.

To be fair to Hazard, he was incredibly unlucky with injuries given that he was virtually injury-free throughout his tenure at Chelsea.

But even when he’s been able to string together a few matches in Spain, he’s come off as a pretty shoddy replica of the guy who shone in the Premier League for seven years.

Although Hazard has won numerous prestigious awards, including the Champions League, he contributed about as little to Real Madrid’s 2021–22 victory as Gareth Bale – and it wasn’t for want of effort on the side of the Belgian, which arguably makes the whole thing even more heartbreaking.

5. Danilo

A post shared by Danilo (@daniluiz2)

Real Madrid paid €31.5 million to prize Danilo out of FC Porto. That was prior to the massive inflation in the transfer market where anybody went for that sort of money. Clearly, the Brazilian was highly rated and was viewed as potential starter for the future.

He could never really upstage Dani Carvajal under the management of Zinedine Zidane. Whenever he came on, he was never poor but lacked the consistency and quality to really mark his stamp on the team. Two years into his six-year deal, Danilo was shipped off to Manchester City.

4. Jonathan Woodgate

Worst Players Who Failed At Real Madrid

Jonathan Woodgate is easily one of the worst players Real Madrid ever signed. He was unfortunate to get injured in his debut season, waiting an entire year to make his first appearance. When he did begin his Real Madrid career, it got off to a disastrous start. A red card and an own goal against Athletic Bilbao pretty much summed up the extent of his stay at Santiago Bernabeu.

3. Nuri Sahin

Nuri Sahin Real Madrid Flops

Nuri Sahin was one of the world’s best midfield talents at the start of the last decade. At just 17, he made his debut for the Turkish national team. He was breaking out in Jurgen Klopp’s young and ruthless Borussia Dortmund side which also fielded stars like Robert Lewandowski, Marco Reus and Mario Gotze.

Real Madrid quickly snapped him up at €10 million believing he could be exactly what Toni Kroos turned out to be. Unfortunately, through several injuries and a mismatch with Jose Mourinho’s tactics, Sahin only ever made 4 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos. Following two loan spells overseas, he was sent back to Dortmund.

2. Antonio Cassano

Players Who Failed At Real Madrid - Cassano

Antonio Cassano is a legend in Italy with 39 caps for his country and his playing years spread around several Serie A clubs. When he was breaking out as a youngster at AS Roma, many viewed him as the playmaker who would tussle with the world’s very best.

However, with his off-the-pitch antics and a fallout with then-manager, Fabio Capello meant his Real Madrid career was doomed to fail. A decision was made to ship him back to Italy after just one season as his attitude was heavily criticised by club president, Ramon Calderon at the time.

1. Royston Drenthe

Top 5 Real Madrid Flops In Recent History

Royston Drenthe’s name has popped up as one of the football’s biggest flops for years now. And that too for good reason. Blessed with lightning speed along with the touch similar to that of Ronaldinho, the world was at Drenthe’s feet when he was at Feyenoord.

Numerous outlets were behind him but it was Real Madrid who won the race in 2007. He cost the club €14 million but never provided a return on that hefty investment. His attitude in training was never tip-top and after several incidents, he could hardly break into the first team. He was even sent out on loan spells to Hercules and Everton to reassess his career but none of it helped.

After Real, he joined Alania Vladikavkaz upon the expiration of his contract in 2012. Now 32, he’s playing for Kozakken Boys in the third tier of Dutch football.

Aston Villa keen on signing Asensio and Ceballos from Madrid this summer

Aston Villa are reportedly pushing to sign Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio, who will both be free agents in the summer

On June 30, Asensio and Ceballos’ existing contracts will both expire, making them free agents who can sign with any team they choose.

The two have been negotiating a new contract with Real Madrid, but as of now, no deal has been reached. Asensio has long been a target for Aston Villa, and earlier this week, rumours suggested that Unai Emery was interested in signing the 27-year-old winger.

The Spanish international, however, has reservations about a potential transfer to Birmingham and is now prioritising renewing his contract with the Spanish capital team, according to the update from Santi Aouna.

According to the report, Ceballos has already received a “very important offer” from Aston Villa for the midfielder. Due to his limited position in the team, the 26-year-old has concerns about his ability to stay at Real Madrid.

In fact, Ceballos is ranked lower than players like Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Luka Modric, and Eduardo Camavinga. With Jude Bellingham getting closer to a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, things will only grow more difficult for him the next season. As a result, Aston Villa is willing to offer him a path out of Madrid and has already sent the former Real Betis star an important proposal. Ceballos has experience in the Premier League after two seasons spent on loan at Arsenal. It is now unknown if he would like to visit English soil prior to the upcoming season.

Real Madrid have made Kylian Mbappe their top target for 2024 transfer window

Last summer, it appeared like Kylian Mbappe might be joining Real Madrid

The Frenchman’s deal with PSG was about to expire, and it was thought that he had a deal with the Spanish powerhouses. The Merengues were furious when the star forward abruptly reversed course and decided to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

But only a few months into the current campaign, rumours that Mbappe was becoming dissatisfied and impatient at PSG began to circulate, and they haven’t stopped since. The 24-year-old allegedly regrets passing up Real Madrid and wants to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid has made signing Mbappe their top aim for the summer of 2024 and is also interested in doing so. There have been rumours that the Merengues may try to sign the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion this summer.

However, it is currently off the table because the team does not want to pay a transfer price to acquire his services, and it is unlikely that PSG will also discuss the possibility of selling him. However, Mbappe’s deal with PSG will end in 2024, at which point he will be able to sign with any team. His contract contains a provision that would enable him to stay in Paris for an additional year. That would also require the player’s consent, which is considered to be improbable.

As a result, Mbappe may become a free agent in 2024, and Real Madrid is preparing to sign him to a Bosman contract at that time. It will be interesting to watch if Madrid succeeds in acquiring the 24-year-old sensation this time around. As things stand, a transfer for him is not anticipated this year, but the club will give him first attention in 2024.

Ferland Mendy, a left-back for Real Madrid, may not return for the upcoming campaign

The 27-year-old defender may leave in the summer despite being under contract until 2025 since he hasn’t impressed the coaching staff. The Frenchman is thus on the market, and Premier League team Arsenal is reportedly considering his options. According to certain sources, the Gunners requested a price from Madrid at first. However, if a story from SPORT is to be believed, Madrid will sell him for €20 million.

It’s interesting to note that Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly also considering buying him. Real Madrid’s season is all but gone with their exit from the UEFA Champions League. This indicates that the management is eagerly anticipating the upcoming campaign and how the team may develop.

Since it is currently known that Eduardo Camavinga won’t play left back exclusively, the Los Blancos will still need to find a left-back even after signing Fran Garcia if Mendy leaves. Even David Alaba, who is an alternative, wants to play through centre.

As a result, Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich is starting to draw interest. Although it is thought that buying Davies is becoming more likely, the player is not up for sale this summer. Mendy’s future at Real Madrid is absolutely questionable in every manner. The 27-year-old Frenchman has suffered from injuries as well as being inconsistent in his play and failing to repay his manager’s faith.

Real Madrid would entertain a bid if it was sufficiently lucrative, and €20 million seems like a reasonable price in light of his performances. Given that they paid €48 million for him, this will undoubtedly be seen as a major loss.
