Raphael Varane is keen to leave Bernabeu in this summer window.

The French defender has refused to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid who is keen on a new challenge in his career.

Manchester United are on the lookout for a new centre-back partner for club captain Harry Maguire and Varane is on the top of their wishlists.

They have already seen a few offers for Varane rejected but the Red Devils will be handing out an improved offer for the World Champion.

Crystal Palace star Andros Townsend believes Varane can take Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad to the next level.

‘If you look at Manchester United’s team, they are very top-heavy,’ Townsend told talkSPORT.

‘They have a lot of forward options and Jadon Sancho will give them another option but Varane, if he does come in, will solidify the back four.

‘He will give them extra strength, extra pace and somebody of his calibre is more suited to the Premier League.

‘He’s big, he’s strong, he is quick and I definitely think the Varane one takes them closer to where they want to be.’

Real Madrid has found the perfect replacement for Karim Benzema

Harry Kane would be an ideal replacement for Karim Benzema.

The 27-year old England captain has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe over the past decade.

Man City are leading the line for his signature but Cesc Fabregas believes he could do a fine job at the Bernabeu.

“For a long time, I have felt that Hary Kane would be the perfect substitute for Karim Benzema at Real Madrid,” Fabregas wrote in his Telegraph column.

“Of course, Benzema showed again at the European Championships that he is not going anywhere and that he is playing very, very well, but the fact I even think Kane is capable of taking over from him in Madrid shows how highly I rate him.

“The pressure at Madrid, like it was at Barcelona, is not something every player could cope with. But if Benzema ever left or ever started to slow down a little bit, then Kane would be the right guy for them.

“Even without knowing him very well myself, you can see that he has a good mentality and you hear from other people that he works and trains hard.

“Jose Mourinho, as people saw on the documentary, always talks about Kane very, very highly. He has what you want from your captain and he has what you need to be a top player.

“For five or six years now Kane has been one of the best strikers in the world. He has been so consistent, scoring so many goals and there have been so many games that he changed.

“Last season, we also saw that he is still adding new things to his game with all of his assists for Tottenham.”

Paul Pogba Questioned About His Real Madrid Move

Paul Pogba Questioned About His Real Madrid Move

Speculation regarding Paul Pogba’s future has begun once again.

France’s early exit from the Euros means Pogba can now make a decision on whether he wants to remain at Manchester United or not.

The midfielder only has a year left on his contract. No talks have progressed regarding an extension with United. Real Madrid had previously expressed serious interest while Zinedine Zidane was still in charge. Now, the situation might change under Carlo Ancelotti.

Asked during an appearance on Spanish TV show El Chiringuito why he does not play for Real, Pogba said: “I was expecting this.

“I’ve arrived [on the show] and I want to say thank you all, I’m going to continue with my holiday and I have to go now because they’re waiting for me.”

Juventus and PSG are also waiting in line to contact Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola. The Frenchman showed during the 2020 European Championships how much he can thrive in a different system. Perhaps, it is time for him to leave Old Trafford and play his prime years elsewhere.

Toni Kroos Laments Ineffective Strategy Against England

Toni Kroos regrets not being effective enough in defeat against England.

Germany exited the 2020 European Championships after losing 2-0 to The Three Lions.

“It was a very even game until the goal against us,” Kroos told MagentaTV. “Both teams neutralised each other. Maybe we lacked effectiveness. We progressed from a difficult group but this is very disappointing right now.”

Kroos is among the many leaders of the Real Madrid dressing room. Thibaut Courtois revealed just how the energy is like amongst the players.

First up, Courtois was asked who the worst losers were at the club. “[Luka] Modric, Nacho and [Dani] Carvajal,” he replied. When we play games we take a picture of the winners and call them vinegars because they get a little angry; they’re the three who least like to lose.”

The Belgian was also asked who the most technically skilled in the squad. “Marcelo is very good technically,” he said. “[Toni] Kroos, Modric, Eden [Hazard].”

Finally, Courtois was asked who spend the most time on their mobile phones. “I’m one, I admit it,” he said. “Modric also uses it a lot. If you go to the dressing room after a game or after training you’ll see 20 players like that.”

Eden Hazard Fears His Euro 2020 Campaign Is Over

Eden Hazard’s participation in the Euro 2020 might have ended after Portugal tie.

The Real Madrid forward hobbled off the pitch after clutching his hamstring.

“In my opinion, he was the man of the match,” Eden’s brother Thorgan, who scored the decisive goal of the game, said after the 1-0 win.

“He defended, he protected the ball, he turned the opponents inside out…”

“It doesn’t look good,” both Thorgan Hazard and Thibaut Courtois said.

“I don’t know what I have, we will see in the tests,” Eden Hazard said. “It hurts a little, I felt a little something in my hamstring and we have to analyse it.

“I cannot say that the European Championship has ended for me. In any case, I would stay to support the team,” Eden added.

Belgium head coach, Roberto Martinez is sweating over the fitness of two key players, Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne. If both were to go missing, The Red Devils will be at a serious disadvantage against Italy.

“We have seen a very strong player with a great mentality,” Martinez said of Hazard.

“Eden is very important to the national team and, little by little, I am sure that he will have great moments at Real Madrid.”

Eden Hazard's Injury Does Not Look Good - Courtois

Eden Hazard is once again facing injury trouble for Belgium.

Thorgan Hazard saw The Red Devils through a 1-0 win over Portugal on Sunday.

Unfortunately, both Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne could miss the quarter-final tie against Italy this week. Both players hobbled off with injuries and are awaiting further assessment.

“It doesn’t look good,” Thibaut Courtois said.

“We will take 48 hours now to assess the situation of the two players. We go back to Belgium now and they will have scans on the injuries tomorrow,” Martinez said at his post-match news conference.Live TV

Hazard was just starting to come into his own in the European Championships after a season full of injuries. There was overrall optimism regarding his involvement throughout the tournament.

But now, his absence paired with that of De Bruyne’s could be dire for Belgium. It is a real shame that Hazard can’t stay fit because when he is at his best, he is unbeatable.

This is Belgium’s best chance at winning a major tournament with the talent they currently possess. Roberto Martinez will have to work his way around the injuries to give Belgium a strong chance against the high-flying Italians.

Thibaut Courtois Believes Eden Hazard Is Back To His Old Self

Thibaut Courtois is glad to see Eden Hazard returning to his best.

The Real Madrid attacker played his first 90 minute game for Belgium in almost two years.

After overcoming lenthy injury spells, Hazard finally looks sharp and dangerous in the final third.

“I think Eden is really close to his best form,” affirms Courtois. “The last few months in Madrid were not easy for him. He’d train really well, I saw he was ready to play but then he’d have these little injuries and have to stay in the treatment room. It was very difficult.

“I see him in practise and he takes on three or four players. He gets kicked and it doesn’t matter, mentally he is very strong. After that, it is just the rhythm of the matches, needing to get more minutes.

“He played a full game against Finland so hopefully he can be decisive against Portugal. I know he is ready, I see it in training, and I know he wants to play a great match.”

If Hazard can bring back his old form, Belgium have a serious chance of making it into the final stages of the tournament.

Florentino Perez was the mastermind behind the European Super League plan.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has warned the top-six Premier League clubs that they can’t leave the Super League project.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all signed for this project initially but backed out after less than 48 hours following backlash from the fans and pundits all around the world.

Since the plan blew up, all the top-six clubs along with Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan has to pay a combined fine totalling £13.4million towards children’s and grassroots football across Europe.

“We are calm, because of what we have, we have won,” Perez said. “The English teams were coerced.

“They signed something they shouldn’t have signed, because they are committed to the Super League. They wanted to punish them, and the courts have said no.

“There is a binding contract and no-one can leave. The Super League continues. We went to the judge who made a ruling and said the Super League cannot be touched. UEFA cannot do anything to the people or the clubs.

“It’s stopped. Now the court in Luxembourg must decide.”

The German said on his brother’s podcast, ‘Einfach mal Luppen’: “I’m also sure he will be seen again at Real Madrid, whatever his role.

“It would also be negligent if you don’t get someone like that back at the club and keep him, as he can still make a difference in the future.”

He added: “I do not know Real Madrid without Sergio Ramos. It was inconceivable that this player was not going to finish his career at Real Madrid. I had hoped he would stay.”

Eden Hazard Plays First Full Game For Belgium In Almost Two Years

Eden Hazard Plays First Full Game For Belgium In Almost Two Years

Eden Hazard received high praise for his performance against Finland.

After a heavy injury-riddled season, the Real Madrid ace finally took the pitch for Belgium and looked good.

Hazard was sharp and decisive on the night, something fans have not seen in a very long time. Belgium manager, Roberto Martinez hailed the 30-year-old.

“It’s the first time we’ve seen him play 90 minutes since November 2019,” Martinez reflected.

“He seems to be enjoying his football, he understands the players around him well. If there’s something that doesn’t worry me about Hazard it’s his individual talent, so I’m very happy to see him developing well.

“Physically he feels very strong and now we have a few days to prepare for the next game and see how he feels for the next part of the tournament.”

If Hazard is back to his full fitness, Belgium have another edge going into the knockout stages. Frontmen, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne are already performing at their best. Add Hazard to the mix and you have the recipe for domination.

One community who will be glad to see Hazard back in action will be the Real Madrid fans. They will be hoping to see him translate this level for his club next season.
