Antonio Rüdiger will not travel to San Sebastián to watch Real Madrid play Real Sociedad in La Liga. Concerns were raised around the Spanish city when Xabi Alonso left the German international out of his 21-man roster for Saturday’s match. Rüdiger’s injury to his left leg’s rectus femoris muscle was verified by Los Blancos a few minutes later.

Arancha Rodríguez of COPE claims Rüdiger will be out for about three months, despite the club not providing a timetable for the center back. The 32-year-old may miss up to 17 Real Madrid games, including the trip to Anfield, the Madrid derby, and El Clásico.

Rüdiger is expected to miss another extended period of time due to injury after playing 172 minutes during the September international break. Less than three months after making his comeback at the FIFA Club World Cup, Rüdiger is back in the infirmary after missing the closing stretch of the previous season due to a knee injury. The German joins Ferland Mendy, Jude Bellingham, Endrick, and Eduardo Camavinga on the sidelines.

Real Madrid’s main players expected to miss Real Sociedad game

It is anticipated that Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will miss Saturday’s La Liga game in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad. Camavinga has not yet finished any training sessions with the rest of the team, contrary to Madrid’s original plan for him to rejoin following the international break.

Ferland Mendy, Jude Bellingham, and Endrick—three more injured players for Madrid—will also not be able to participate. Bellingham, who had shoulder surgery in July, has been exercising with the team this week to a lesser extent than Camavinga. He expects to return this month, though the club is more likely to wait until October.

Huijsen and Militão will now have to spend the upcoming months recording a lot of minutes. Raúl Asencio and David Alaba are other alternatives, but in their most recent outings, neither player has been able to deliver when called upon. In the event that Los Blancos desperately require rotation in the upcoming weeks, Dani Carvajal and Aurélien Tchouaméni are also backup options.
