Sergio Ramos has netted his 100th goal for Real Madrid during the Inter Milan Champions League win.

Real Madrid faced off with Inter Milan on Sunday and won by 3-2, with Ramos reaching a personal goalscoring milestone for the club.

However, he wants to improve his record even more and hopes to net more balls.

He said, “Individual records are secondary, but it’s nice when your achievements, effort and sacrifices over the course of so many years are recognised. It’s not every day you get your 100th goal and all the more so when you’re a defender. As long as they help us to win games and bring positive things to the team, I’ll be really happy. Here’s hoping I get many more.

“As long as we continue to surprise people, it’s a good sign. We’re pleased, it was a really tough game, there was a lot at stake. They’re a very solid side, with a very clear playing style and they made the most of that, but we got a good result to pick up three really important points. The group was looking tough but tonight’s win was vital.”

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is further confident that Ramos will continue to stay on with the Los Blancos, even though he is linked with a move away to Juventus.

“I have no doubt that he will stay,” Zidane said at his post-match news conference. “He is our leader and of course we love him forever.”
