Real Madrid have been hit with another blow during the international break as two of their key players, Eder Militao and Andriy Lunin, have withdrawn from their national team duties due to injury and illness concerns.
Militao and Lunin Out of International Action Due to Injury and Illness

Militao, the Brazilian center-back, had traveled to Sao Paulo after Real Madrid’s recent victory over Villarreal, expecting to feature in Brazil’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Peru.
However, after undergoing medical tests with the national team, a muscle issue in his left thigh was identified, forcing him to pull out.
This comes just days after the defender showed signs of discomfort in his La Liga appearance, where he requested to be substituted.
Militao will now return to Madrid to focus on his recovery, hoping to be fit after the international break.
In addition to Militao, Real Madrid’s Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has also been sidelined, but for a different reason.
Lunin, who was set to represent Ukraine in their UEFA Nations League matches against Georgia and the Czech Republic, is battling a viral infection.
The young goalkeeper had recently stepped in for Real Madrid’s first-choice keeper in games against Lille and Villarreal but will now miss out on his national duty.
These setbacks come at a challenging time for Real Madrid, who are already dealing with the absence of Vinicius Jr. due to a neck injury.
Despite these hurdles, the club remains optimistic about the quick recovery of its players, especially with Militao and Lunin crucial to their future campaigns.
Both players will be closely monitored, with hopes of being back in action for Carlo Ancelotti’s side soon after the break.
