This summer, Real Madrid will try to enhance their midfield, two seasons after Jude Bellingham joined the team and, more importantly, following the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić. It appears that the emphasis on Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde as partners for Aurelien Tchouameni has stopped; however, Los Blancos have found it difficult to adjust without their long-time commanders in the middle of the pitch.

Both Carlo Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso reportedly asked for an addition in the middle of the pitch last summer. Real Madrid were optimistic that they might succeed with their present choices, but it appears they will take action this summer after witnessing three managers—including Alvaro Arbeloa—fail to find a solution.

Vitinha, a standout for Paris Saint-Germain, has been dubbed the “dream signing” for the role. The Portuguese international was still at the top of their wish list even if it was acknowledged that any deal would be difficult. He has now ruled out relocating to the capital of Spain, though.

Vitinha comments on a possible move to Real Madrid

The midfield player was first bought by PSG for somewhat more than €40 million, and the agreement has proven to be quite successful. Vitinha’s ability to dominate possession, set the pace, and contribute both offensively and defensively has made him a vital member of the Paris team over the past several seasons.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, acted swiftly to guarantee the midfield player’s future last year after seeing his significance. By giving him one of the highest wages in the team and extending his contract until 2029, the club essentially shielded him from attention from the best teams in Europe.

Vitinha was seen by Real Madrid as a possible answer to the team’s increasing need for midfield reinforcement. But for the time being, the Portuguese player seems totally dedicated to carrying on at PSG.

The midfield player’s recent remarks indicate that any possible transfer is unlikely to occur very soon, even though Real Madrid may still respect his abilities.
