West Ham United Inquiring About Two Real Madrid Players

Real Madrid have the golden opportunity to clear out some deadwood this January.

It seems like West Ham United have taken a liking to both Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz after bidding farewell to Sebastien Haller.

The Ivory Coast international departed for Ajax in a deal worth around £22.5m, leaving behind a starting spot in East London. David Moyes wants to bring in a strong character who will chip in with goals more regularly.

Zinedine Zidane knows Jovic might never come good for Real and it would be time to cut their losses short. The Serbian arrived with a lot of pomp and glory only to go missing when brought on. He has faced several issues in Madrid, making him a disposable piece this winter.

Jovic is still very young at 22 and could rejuvenate his form in a less demanding environment. At West Ham, he will have to option to play to his strengths. Moyes likes a counter-attacking side with strikers who have a more lethal presence in the box.

Jovic is not the biggest but he is technically sound, quick off the mark and strong with possession. The Hammers could bank on his talents but have other options too. Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah is an option along with Mariano Diaz. They have asked about an initial loan deal for Jovic with an option to buy later on.
