Real Madrid are 12 points ahead of arch-rivals Barcelona.

Barcelona coach Xavi admits they can make a comeback in La Liga. He feels a late title push is within reach after victory over Osasuna.

The Barcelona head wants Real Madrid to drop points in La Liga 2021/22. Los Blancos are currently at the top of the table with 63 points after 27 games. They are 12 points ahead of Barcelona.

Barca’s current position is three and they are just 5 points behind second-placed Sevilla. Xavi’s side can turn around the table as Sevilla dropped played four draws in the last five games and Barcelona secured 4 victories in the last five ties.

However, Xavi admits they need their El Classico rivals to slip up.

“La Liga is very difficult to win, or even to win at the Bernabeu,” said Xavi.

“They have only lost two games this season and we would need them to lose three or four more.

“We cannot be too optimistic about our chances.”

Barcelona will face Madrid in the season’s second El Classico on upcoming Sunday. It will be an opportunity to take revenge of the home loss.
