Zidane waiting on France job despite growing links with PSG

Zidane is rumoured to be the prime target for PSG as the replacement of Mauricio Pochettino.

Ex-Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is waiting on the France national team job amid links with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Frenchman who left his job at Real Madrid last summer has been without a role. He was earlier linked with Man United after Ole’s departure but he denied the offer.

The former Les Bleus international is rumoured to be the prime target for PSG as the replacement of current manager Mauricio Pochettino. Pochettino’s contract will expire at the end of next season but he may leave France to join Man United.

Zidane is getting a good offer from Ligue 1. Meanwhile, reports from RMC Sport says the 49-year-old is holding out for the top job in French football.

Didier Deschamps took France to the World Cup title in 2018 and his current contract will end at the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The former Los Blancos manager has previously hinted at his desire to manage his nation one day but he will not push to replace Deschamps before the World Cup.
