Zinedine Zidane Refuses To Shut Door On Kylian Mbappe Move

Zinedine Zidane is preparing for life with Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward is clearly the ultimate target for Los Blancos as the club steps up their efforts.

Clearing out the ranks to make way for such a marquee name is first on their agenda. They did so last summer with over 12 exits and now, further has followed this January. Ronaldo Nazario made an excellent point regarding players of Mbappe’s stature. He said that great players hold the power over where they choose to play in their careers.

“In the end yes, I think that’s how Ronaldo said it,” Zidane said. “I think the same thing, but everyone has a contract and it’s not good to get involved in the things of players who are not yours, but I think the same.”

Real Madrid are claimed to have agreed terms with David Alaba but no talks have progressed with Sergio Ramos and Lucas Vazquez yet.

“It has nothing to do with it. Sergio and Lucas have been playing for Madrid for a long time,” Zidane said when asked if it bothers him that they haven’t renewed. “They are always ready and focused. The rest will be seen in the future.”

Alvaro Odriozola is also on the brink of a departure after Luka Jovic’s exit from the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Anything can happen until January 31,” Zidane stated. “Look at Jovic. But I love all my players very much and I will rely on all of them. Then if something happens, we’ll see.”
