Raphael Varane wants to play with Paul Pogba

Raphael Varane is a fan of his countryman Paul Pogba.

Manchester United are on the market to bring in a new centre-back to partner captain Harry Maguire and they have turned their attention towards Raphael Varane who could leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The French international is under contract until 2022 with Real Madrid and there has been no talks of a contract extension.

On the other hand, Paul Pogba is yet to commit his future with the Red Devils and could leave this summer as Varane could leave Madrid.

Both the French internationals shone in the 2018 World Cup and supposedly have a good relationship off the pitch.

When there were talks of Pogba moving to Santiago Bernabeu, Varane seemed to have approved the move.

He said: “I think we have a team. Pogba is a good player, I know him very well.

“For any team he would be fantastic

“I trust my team-mates. If new players come, we’ll see. I trust my team-mates.”
