Real Madrid is apparently preparing to sign Joselu on a permanent basis from Espanyol during the upcoming 2024 transfer window.

The Spanish veteran, who joined the club last summer for a cheap 500,000 Euros, has proven himself as an important player in the absence of injured talents Vinicius Jr and Rodyrgo Goes.

Joselu’s impact has been nothing short of remaining this season, with an important role of five goals and two assists, especially when Vinicius Jr was absent. Real Madrid appears to be relying largely on Joselu’s ability in the closing third as a result of Vinicius Jr’s long-term absence.

According to sources, the club is considering triggering the acquisition clause, which is set at a low cost of €1.5 million, to make Joselu a permanent member of the squad.

Despite Endrick’s expected arrival in June and potential blockbuster additions such as Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe, there is a growing understanding among the Madrid camp and Joselu’s crew that the Spanish striker’s importance goes beyond this season.

As the transfer window approaches, all eyes are on Real Madrid’s strategic actions, with Joselu’s probable permanent signing emerging as an unexpected and cost-effective solution to the team’s offensive issues.
