Real Madrid have set their sights on Lille forward Jonathan David

It has been reported that Los Blancos is considering a move this summer to sign the Canadian striker.

David recently had a successful season with Lille, as he scored many significant goals for them in Ligue 1. The wonder, who was born in Brooklyn, scored 19 goals in 47 games for his current team last season across multiple tournaments.

After averaging 1.9 shots, 0.9 critical passes, and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in Ligue 1, the 22-year-old player established himself as a competent performer in the final third. In the French first division, he was even proficient at passing the ball into the opponent’s half, completing 78.3 percent of his attempts.

David is skilled at timing his runs into the opponent’s defence and can lead the line well on his own. He shown his value as a competent finisher in front of the opposing goal, but he must find a method to increase his playmaking contribution in the offensive half of the field. David has the versatility to play the top position either by himself or with a partner.

He might, however, be a shrewd addition to Real Madrid’s roster this summer, and that much is undeniable. Karim Benzema, who performed at the pinnacle of his abilities at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium last season, will have some strong competition from David, who is capable of matching his calibre.
