Pochettino reveals how Mbappe reacted to Real Madrid links

Mauricio Pochettino believes Mbappe will stay at PSG despite transfer links.

The French striker has one year left on his contract with PSG and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

PSG have signed a number of star players this window in the names of Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarrumma, Achraf Hakimi, Gini Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos.

Despite a number of star incomings, Mbappe wants to join the Galacticos next summer.

The 22-year old forward will form a front three of himself, Messi and Neymar as the club aims to win the domestic league and Champions League this season.

Pochettino believes Mbappe will stay at the French capital for one more season.

‘Mbappe is working very well. I see him staying with us this season,’ Pochettino said.

‘There are many rumours [about a move to Real Madrid] but he’s calm. We want him to stay here. He has one more year on his contract with us. Even if he does not renew, he is still a PSG player.’

Even his teammate Angel Di Maria believes the 22-year old will stay at the club beyond this summer.

‘Yes, I think will stay. It’s obvious he’s a player that all the great teams want but with the squad that PSG have now, I don’t think he’s going to go away,’ Di Maria told ESPN.

‘I also don’t think he will find a better team than this one.’
