Isco has completely dropped out of favour at Real Madrid and an exit seems imminent.

As the January window closes in, Zinedine Zidane will be looking at potential suitors.

The 28-year-old still has plenty of value in the market, given his quality and performances over the years. Admittedly, his form might have dropped but teams know what he is capable of if allowed to play in his favoured position.

James Rodriguez found solace in Everton when former boss, Carlo Ancelotti welcomed him to turn his career around. Perhaps, Isco can find himself in a similar position under a manager who actually plays him.

13 minutes of Champions League football all season is not exactly what one would hope for at the prime of their careers. Isco’s contract runs out in 2022 and this would be the perfect time to raise some money out of his sale.

Problem is during these trying financial times, almost nobody is willing to take on his hefty contract and meet Real Madrid‘s valuation of him. That was solely the reason Rodriguez left for next to nothing last summer.

Isco’s final straw might have been in the game against Cadiz. He started the match but was taken off at half-time.
