The move of David Alaba to Real Madrid was flawless

He arrived during a challenging period for the team and did a fantastic job with Eder Militao to replace Sergio Ramos and Rafael Varane. Since then, he has been a regular starter. The international defender from Austria can play as left back or centre back. Although he started out broad in his career, he is now concentrating on the lead part. Alaba may be leaving Real Madrid, according to rumours that surfaced earlier this week. The rumours, however, did not mention the player’s wish to switch teams and instead stated that there were Saudi Arabian teams interested in signing him.

The same is confirmed by Sergio Quirante in a recent update. The defender did, in fact, receive a highly lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia a few weeks ago, the Spanish journalist claims. His entourage, though, hints that the player never considered leaving. He would not give up the team and the city for the financial boost because he is in love with them.

As reported earlier this week, Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia was the organisation looking for Alaba’s services this summer in a last-minute swoop. A €40 million transfer fee was reportedly offered by the Middle Eastern team in exchange for his services. They also gave him a stunning €25 million salary.

However, given the predicament Real Madrid is in, the Merengues would not trade him for all the money in the world, and the player would not change allegiances at any cost. Eder Militao’s injury will keep him out for the majority of the current campaign, becoming David Alaba Carlo Ancelotti’s top center-back choice.

Alongside Antonio Rudiger, he has started recent games, and the pair has developed into a potent combination. The 31-year-old has managed two clean sheets and given one assist in his four league appearances for Los Blancos this season. He makes an average of 1.2 interceptions, 0.8 tackles, three clearances, and one victory in a battle per game on defence.
