Virgil van Dijk’s contract will end in the summer of 2025
Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk is on the radar of Real Madrid as the Dutchman may leave the club at the end of the season. The Reds captain could be tempted by a summer exit to Real Madrid.
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp will leave the club this summer and the new Reds manager will boost the squad. Ahead of the summer window, the backline of Liverpool might be changed.
Virgil van Dijk’s contract will end in the summer of 2025 but he will not play for one more season. He is joining Joel Matip and the Reds could try new backline for season 2024-25.
The Dutchman will likely to join another league and try some new challenges. Ex-Reds captain Graeme Souness has offered his take on the situation and hinted an exit is not out of the question.
He said as per the quote of Diario AS, “I’m concerned that Virgil van Dijk’s contract is about to expire. In July he turns 33 and if his agent called the sporting director of Real Madrid, they would take him away.”
