Real Madrid planning summer move for Bayern defender Matthijs de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt will see his contract expire in the summer of 2027.

As per reports of Defensa Central, Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt. It has been added that La Liga giants are keen to sign the Dutchman in the summer.

The centre-back has been outstanding for the Bundesliga giants. He has been a pillar of Bayern’s defence. The 24-year-old has appeared in 17 matches for the Bavarian club this season. He has also scored two goals.

The Dutch talent will see his contract expire in the summer of 2027. It would be tough for the Los Blancos to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel speaks on Matthijs de Ligt: “Yes, he is having a difficult moment as the fight for the place is really strong. I decided not to start him and not to take the risk. Matthijs is a fighter, it’s a competition for places. We need him”.

The Bayern defender is a solid tackler of the ball and he will be a great addition to the club. He is just 24 years old and he could be a future prospect for the club.
