In a recent report, Defensa Central reports that Real Madrid are set to rival Lyon for Botafogo starlet Matheus Nascimento. It is understood that Spanish giants are keeping tabs on the progress of the Brazilian forward.
The 18-year-old came through the youth ranks of Botafogo and has now established himself as a prominent member of their first team.
Nascimento has already made 44 senior appearances for the Brazilian club so far, finding the back of the net eight times and earning two assists in the process across all competitions.
The Brazilian prospect has already shown flashes of his true potential in Brazilian football over the past couple of years. Thus, it is no surprise that Real Madrid are monitoring his development at the Estádio Nilton Santos.
