Carlo Ancelotti is not overly worried about his future amid links to Brazil

Carlo Ancelotti fires back at critics following Real Madrid’s UCL triumph

Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, didn’t hold back in defending his team following their recent victory in the Champions League semi-final.

Real Madrid secured their spot in the final after defeating Bayern Munich with a 2-1 scoreline in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Controversy arose after Bayern Munich supporters claimed they were on the receiving end of a costly officiating error. The uproar stemmed from a moment in the match when Matthijs de Ligt scored a goal, only for it to be disallowed due to an offside call in the buildup.

Despite the tightness of the call, the linesman raised his flag before the goal was scored, preventing the opportunity for a VAR review.

Bayern Munich’s players, staff, and fans expressed their frustration, with manager Thomas Tuchel pointing fingers at the officiating in Madrid as the deciding factor in the match’s outcome.

In response to these criticisms, Carlo Ancelotti didn’t mince words. He refuted Bayern’s complaints by highlighting a moment where a goal by Nacho was cancelled out due to what he deemed as a dive by Joshua Kimmich.

“Bayern complained about the offside? Okay, so we complain about the cancelled goal of Nacho… because Kimmich dived,” Ancelotti stated firmly in his post-match press conference.

Ancelotti’s strong rebuttal reflected his determination to stand up for his team and dismiss any allegations of unfairness.

With Real Madrid now set to advance to the Champions League final, Ancelotti’s unwavering support for his players could serve as a rallying cry as they aim for European glory.
