Dani Ceballos set to miss El Clasico due to 3-week injury layoff
Real Madrid has suffered a setback ahead of their eagerly awaited El Clasico meeting against Barcelona, as midfielder Dani Ceballos has been ruled out due to injury. The Spanish midfielder is set to be out for three weeks, ruling him out of not only the Clasico but also important matches against Sevilla and Braga.
Ceballos’ absence is an additional blow for Real Madrid, who are already without a number of important players. Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois, and Andriy Lunin are among those who have been ruled out, while Arda Guler is also questionable for the coming encounter against Barcelona due to a lack of fitness, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Ceballos, who has seen limited playing time this season, will face a difficult road back to the team whenever he recovers. The midfielder’s loss comes at a time when Ancelotti already has a strong midfield team, and if no more injuries happen, Ceballos might be out for a longer period of time.
Real Madrid fans will be hopeful that Ceballos recovers quickly and returns in time to contribute to the club’s season. The absence of such an adept player is definitely a disappointment for the team as it prepares to face its arch-rivals in one of football’s most intense clashes.
