Eden Hazard frustrated with his game time at Real Madrid

Eden Hazard recently played 60 mins in Belgium’s 2-1 win against Wales.

The Belgian forward has struggled for fitness at Real Madrid since his arrival from Chelsea back in 2019.

He has managed only seven goals in 70 appearances and missed most of the games through injury.

He has been a back-up option for Carlo Ancelotti and the manager favoured Rodrygo and Federico Valverde ahead of Hazard this season.

The 31-year-old wants to play more often so that he keeps his spot in the Belgian national team in the Qatar World Cup.

“They have been difficult times because I want to play and I don’t play,” he explained to Belgian media after facing Wales in the UEFA Nations League.

“I feel good at Real Madrid, I just play less. And when I play, I play well. It is a delicate situation because I want to play more. I know what I can do, I want to scratch the maximum number of minutes to get to the World Cup in good shape.”
