Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has singled out the impact of Jude Bellingham. His statement came after Real Madrid’s Champions League draw with Man City in the quarterfinals.

Man City won the UEFA Champions League last season and their first-leg quarterfinal game will be played on April 09 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Both clubs met each other in the semifinal last season and Man City had the last laugh with a 5-1 scoreline.

Even Real Madrid beat Man City in the 2022 knockout game and went on to win the trophy. It means, this game may decide the winner of this season.

Real Madrid have seen the potential of Jude Bellingham. Man City boss Pep Guardiola hails the impact of the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

He told the media on Friday, “[Bellingham’s] impact has been massive. It’s a different team from last season. His influence is obvious, and we have to try to discover what he does to control it.”

“Facing Real Madrid is always a tough challenge, nobody can deny it. They are an exceptional club, and in this competition they can control many things with the experience they have in the past.

“Like last season there will be moments for them and moments for us. The longer we can keep our moments, we’ll be closer. We’ll try to do a good performance in Madrid and then here, with our people, do it again.”

Jude Bellingham has scored 20 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions. He will be a vital player for Real Madrid in pursuit of the Champions League title.
