Raphael Varane will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2025.
As per the fresh report of Sport, Real Madrid are hoping to re-sign Manchester United defender Raphael Varane this winter. It has been reported that the La Liga giants want to bring a solid defender to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
David Alaba’s injury added more chances to see the return of Varane at Madrid. The United defender has struggled to earn regular playing time in the Premier League. He has made only 14 appearances for United this season, scoring one goal in all competitions.
The 30-year-old will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2025. Real Madrid may try and arrange a cut-price move for Varane next year.
The French defender is a tough-tackling defender and he is even proficient at playing his way out from the back. He may be the ideal replacement for David Alaba.
Varane has achieved success at Real Madrid and Man United might benefit from sealing a return to his old club. The 30-year-old is looking to find new challenges and Man United are also looking to move on from him.
