Mauro Icardi would compete with Joselu for a place in the starting XI.
Real Madrid desperately needs a striker in the January transfer window and they are linked with Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi. Los Blancos are already lacking a striker since the departure of Karim Benzema.
Icardi has been outstanding for his club and he gave attention to other clubs during the Champions League. He scored a late winner in a 3-2 victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford in October.
According to Marca, Icardi’s form has been great. He has scored 18 goals this season. His form has alerted Real Madrid ahead of the winter transfer window.
As per reports, the 30-year-old would compete with Joselu for a place in the starting XI. Joselu is also in great touch and he has scored nine goals.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti gives preference to Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior. Vini Jr has been ruled out after picking up an injury on Brazil duty back in mid-November.
The Los Blancos will enter the market for a new attacking option in winter. He came through Barcelona’s La Masia youth system and enjoyed six seasons with Inter Milan.
Former PSG striker has scored 40 goals in 52 appearances for his current club. He has five goals in the Champions League 2023/24.
