The impact of Marco Asensio has pleased Real Madrid, and a new round of negotiations will take place to explore his contract
Asensio was once anticipated to depart the team as a free agent. The 27-year-old’s contract expires at the conclusion of the current campaign, and various media reports stated that clubs like Atletico Madrid and Barcelona were keen to sign him.
Since it turns out, the Spaniard’s importance increased over the previous few months since he has been involved in goals quite a bit lately, despite not having much of an impact earlier in the season.
In fact, he has two goals and an assist to his record in his last four games. Among them is a recent wondergoal against Chelsea in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match.
Regarding his future, Romano stated in his Here We Go podcast that Madrid had already made him an offer for a new contract and that further negotiations will take place soon.
In contrast to Asensio’s current scenario, he continued, Madrid is prepared to postpone resolving other players’ contractual issues until the end of the current campaign. He continued by saying that there would soon be another round of negotiations for Asensio to stay at Real Madrid.
