Couto has been a talented defender and could be a future prospect for La Liga leaders. He was heavily linked with Girona during the summer and moved there on loan. He has scored a goal and provided five assists in 19 appearances.
He helped Girona to push their chances for the historic La Liga title. As per Marca, the 21-year-old is on the radar of Real Madrid. They consider him as an ideal replacement for Dani Carvajal. The Spanish international might leave the club.
Real Madrid struggled a bit in defense part and they need to improve this. Los Blancos won Supercopa de Espana but suffered an early exit in Copa del Rey against city-rivals Atletico Madrid. They are still in the hunt for the top-flight title.
