Kylian Mbappe demands £1.25m-a-week wages in summer amid Madrid links

It won’t be easy for Real Madrid and Liverpool to sign Mbappe for a huge fee.

Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe again gives big update on his transfer. PSG forward is reportedly demanding a wage of around £1.25m per week this summer. Any club can go for him at the end of the season.

The Frenchman is leaving PSG at the end of the season. He will be a free agent as his contract expires in the summer. PSG tried hard to offer him new contract but Mbappe wants to find new challenges.

The 25-year-old is open to discussion with other clubs for a pre-contract agreement. He has refused to trigger the 12-month extension in his deal with PSG.

Liverpool and Real Madrid are currently two front-runners to sign the young striker. Los Blancos are heavily linked with the player and they might beat Liverpool in the summer.

As per the reports of the Telegraph, he wants a whopping £64.5m a year after tax, equivalent to approximately £1.24m a week. It won’t be easy for Madrid and Liverpool to sign Mbappe on a huge fee. They cannot invest all amount on one player.

Real Madrid are desperate to sign a big striker since the departure of Karim Benzema who moved to Saudi Arabia. They have also decided on the backup option of Erling Haaland.

On the other hand, Liverpool are looking for a replacement of Mo Salah who is supposed to leave the club at the end of the season. However, the Reds will have a discussion with the Egypt international after the AFCON. They might offer him an extension. If they convince Salah then Liverpool can pull out from Mbappe’s option.
