Real Madrid has started searching for a successor for Thibaut Courtois after learning of his ACL injury, which would keep him out of action for the whole 2023–24 season

The former Manchester United and Atletico Madrid goalie, David De Gea, has emerged as an early front-runner and is allegedly in negotiations with Los Blancos officials about a contract.

The coaching staff for the first team does not, however, favour him. According to Diario AS, that is Yassine Bounou from Sevilla.

This summer, there have been numerous rumours that Bono might leave. However, Jose Luis Mendilibar is expected to keep Marko Dmitrovic as his starting quarterback for the upcoming campaign. Real Madrid may now be able to negotiate a deal as a result.

According to recent sources, Sevilla is seeking €20 million to sell Bono, which may be too much for Real Madrid given that they are just looking for a custodian for the upcoming campaign and Courtois is anticipated to reclaim his position once he is fully healthy.

Who Real Madrid looks to sign as their next number one is yet unknown. Numerous possibilities have already been mentioned, but whomever replaces Courtois will undoubtedly have big shoes to fill.
