Ferland Mendy has struggled with injuries in the past two seasons.

The French defender has been a hit-and-miss for Los Blancos since his arrival in the summer of 2019 and the La Liga giants would want to offload him in the coming weeks.

Recurring injuries have plagued the defender’s career in the Bernabeu making just nine starts this season for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid will reportedly demand in excess of €40 million to part ways with the 28-year-old full-back.

The club is currently exploring a move for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies who has been phenomenal for the German club over the past few seasons.

Mendy was expected to replace legendary Marcelo in the left-back position but he failed to hit the ground running at Santiago Bernabeu.

The 28-year-old defender has bagged five goals and ten assists in 147 appearances for the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid will be exploring other left-back options in the market if Mendy were to leave in the coming weeks.

Premier League giants Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in the struggling defender as they are keen to bring in more depth in the left-back position.
