Iker Casillas voiced his praise for Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane.
After a difficult campaign with Los Blancos, the Frenchman’s immediate future at Santiago Bernabeu is not guaranteed.
Real do have the slimest chance of regaining the La Liga title but for that Atletico Madrid will have to drop points on the final day. It is highly likely that The Galacticos might finish the season without any silverware.
“Zidane can’t be criticised for anything,” former Real goalkeeper, Casillas told Radio MARCA. “What he has achieved is incredible, and is only in the reach of very few or even a single person.”
“I would have preferred Real Madrid to be sat in first, but I hope that Real Valladolid can help us win this weekend,” he added.
“I wish everyone luck, but let’s see if we have a little more ourselves and we can win LaLiga.”
Real Madrid face Real Valladolid in their final game of the season while Atletico take on Villarreal. Diego Simeone’s men face the tougher challenge on paper. This could have a serious impact on Zidane’s career.
Whether he stays at Madrid or not, Real are tipped to look very different in the 2021/22 campaign. Several new names are expected to come in.
