Real Madrid won 3 crucial points by beating Valladoid 1-0 last night.
Thibaut Courtois lauded his team for the win as it cut down Atletico’s lead at the top to just 6 points.
He later said, “We knew that today was a crucial match to keep putting pressure on Atlético. The only thing we can do is keep doing our job, which is to win games. There’re still a lot of points at stake and the league won’t be decided until May. We have to keep pushing and that’s why today’s three points were very important.
“Those of us who are here are here. We’re a team and we must always strive to give our best. The players available now have to keep giving everything so that in May we’ll all be ready to fight. We’re doing well, we have to keep working hard and picking up the wins.”
On the LaLiga race, he added: “Atlético know they have to respond, and we know we have to keep winning. We’re not looking at what others are doing. We’ve won the last four games and are in good form ahead of the next game and will go into it with the players we’ve got. We’ve got to give everything to get the win.”
