Kylian Mbappe’s contract with PSG is due to expire in the summer.

PSG are pushing hard to keep Mbappe beyond the summer by offering him a new contract as the Frenchman is now free to negotiate a pre-contract with any club.

The 25-year-old World Cup winner has entered the final six months of his contract and will be speaking to clubs for his next move in the summer.

Real Madrid are favourties to land the French international and will propose a lucrative proposal in the coming days.

PSG have not yet given up on Mbappe, especially after opening extension talks with his brother Ethan.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano insisted that the Frenchman is yet to make a decision on his future.

“There’s a lot of focus on Kylian Mbappe now that it’s January and he is technically free to negotiate with foreign clubs for a move for next season. Still, I wanted to address some of the latest Real Madrid speculation here,” Romano said.

“The situation remains the same – Real Madrid are on it, PSG are pushing to sign new deal, and it’s absolutely open. Again, I keep repeating on Mbappe; it’s one to follow day by day. In my view, any predictions now make no sense.”
