Harry Kane has acknowledged that Jude Bellingham’s explosive start to life at Real Madrid has not taken him by surprise

Bellingham moved to Madrid for a significant number of money early in the summer, and Kane might have followed him had he not ultimately decided to transfer to Bayern Munich for a similar sum of money. Kane was a target for the Spanish team.

Bellingham has scored six goals in as many games since moving to Madrid, solidifying his status as a superstar in the eyes of his new fans. Such an electrifying start from Bellingham is nothing out of the ordinary for Kane.

“I don’t think it’s a surprise,” Kane said to Marca. “Obviously, I’ve known Jude for a very long time, and we all know what a tremendous player he is. He bestowed on us a wonderful World Cup. Despite his youth, he exhibits a high level of maturity. He is quite attentive, therefore I am not surprised by him.

“He’s a terrific player, he’s full of confidence right now, and he has amazing potential, so for him, scoring more goals is the ideal way to enhance his resume. I’m overjoyed for him and that he’s having fun in Madrid. He’ll want to maintain that dynamic for the remainder of the year.

“It’s fantastic to have him in our team, and, obviously, being so young, he is going to be the future of our team and probably of Real Madrid as well. It’s a pleasure to see him,” said the team’s coach. Kane acknowledged that Bellingham’s influence in the locker room is just as important to his teams as his performance on the pitch. Kane also argued that Bellingham’s exceptional displays should dispel the fallacy that English players are unable to compete in La Liga.
