Jude Bellingham surprised by the atmosphere in the Madrid dressing room.

The English midfielder made his move to Santiago Bernabeu for an initial €103m and became one of the expensive transfers in the club’s history.

He bagged his first goal for Real Madrid in a 2-0 friendly win over Manchester United in Houston this week.

His first league game would come against Athletic Club on the first day of the La Liga season.

After the win, Bellingham has spoken about his first impressions at the legendary club.

“Everything has pleasantly surprised me,” he told reporters. “The atmosphere in the dressing room is spectacular and I’m trying to learn from these enormous players every day.

“I was confident coming here because I knew how good the players are. I know the qualities I can bring and I feel like I have slotted in. The role I am playing is enjoyable.

“The standards that are set and the way everyone applies themselves in training, the mentality day in day out. I enjoy that.”
