  • According to reports, Luka Modric declined the chance to work with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, where they were both teammates at Real Madrid

Following the entrance of one of the best players in history, Al-Nassr is looking to bring in a few more well-known players. Al-Nassr ‘wants to push Saudi to the elite of the world’s most watched sport universe,’ according to Spanish newspaper Marca. They have gotten in touch with Modric and another legendary Real Madrid player, Sergio Ramos, in an effort to achieve this.

At the World Cup, Modric demonstrated that, despite being 37 years old, he is still a world-class football player. And, unlike Ronaldo, he still wants to be at the top and is still sought after by a major club.

The legendary Croatian player has refused “million-dollar approaches from Saudi Arabia and the United States” to prolong his illustrious Los Blancos career out of loyalty to Madrid. Although there is now no offer on the table, a contract renewal is “beyond doubt,” yet reaching an agreement “will be no problem.”

Modric has made it plain that he wants to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for another season by telling interested parties to return in 2024.

As Al-Nassr attempts to become “the Real Madrid of the Arab world,” Ronaldo hopes Ramos will join him this year and Modric the following.
