Robert Renan, a transfer target for Arsenal and Chelsea, might be pursued by Real Madrid
Both Arsenal and Chelsea were reportedly interested in signing Renan, according to a GOAL report from earlier this season. One of the many highly regarded young players in Brazil, Renan made his debut with Corinthians at the age of 18.
The teenage player recently left Corinthians for Zenit St. Petersburg, but he could go again, Now, according to a Sport24 story, Real Madrid is prepared to offer £35 million to capture Renan.
It wouldn’t be the first time Real Madrid have looked to South America for youthful talent, and it most certainly won’t be the last. Endrick, who was acquired from Palmeiras last year, will join the Spanish powerhouses when he is 18 years old.
It’s unclear if Renan is ready to go up to play for teams like Real Madrid, Chelsea, or Arsenal, but there’s no denying that he’s a highly-regarded talent, and it might be a good idea to sign him to a permanent contract before sending him on loan.
