According to reports, Real Madrid is interested in signing Villarreal defender Juan Foyth

Los Blancos are said to be interested in signing the Argentine centre-back during the summer transfer window. Foyth has had a solid season with the Yellow Submarine, turning up numerous strong defensive performances for them.

During this season, the 24-year-old has made 25 appearances for Villarreal, receiving four yellow cards and one red card in various tournaments.

Foyth is a good defender who can time his challenges effectively to get the ball back within his half. He frequently clears the danger and is also skilled at playing his way out from the back.

Standing 1.87m tall, the Argentine star can use his powerful body to overpower opposing attackers in the air. As a result, a centre-back of Foyth’s calibre will be a good signing for Los Blancos, as he will strengthen Carlo Ancelotti’s defensive options for the next season. In addition, he might be an upgrade over Nacho, who is nearing the end of his playing career.

At 24, Foyth is set to reach his peak, which means the Madrid giants will get the most out of him in the coming years. Next season, he might create a strong defensive pairing with David Alaba at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

As a result, as long as Ancelotti is prepared to play him consistently in the future, the former Tottenham Hotspur star will be a good option for Real Madrid to consider in the summer.
