Marc Cucurella, a defender for Chelsea, may join Real Madrid in January

Los Blancos are interested in signing the Spanish full-back this summer. Cucurella has had a challenging season thus far at Stamford Bridge as he has battled for a starting berth in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI. He has only played once this season for the Blues, in the EFL Cup.

The Spanish left-back played in 33 games for the West London club the previous season as a regular starter, contributing a few assists on all fronts.

In the summer of 2028, his current contract at Stamford Bridge will expire. Real Madrid should therefore attempt to set up a loan transfer for him during the January transfer window. When he is performing effectively on the defensive side of the field, Cucurella is a reliable tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to win possession back for his team. He typically plays his way out of trouble when necessary and is skilled at doing it from the back.

The Spanish sensation is primarily a left-back but can also act as a centre defender if directed to do so by his boss. He is a proficient ball crosser as well, but he needs to find a method to improve the consistency of his high-level performances. Cucurella is currently losing confidence as a result of his limited playing time at Stamford Bridge. For him to restart his career, a loan transfer to Real Madrid might be the perfect option.

Cucurella’s versatility and skill set are perfect for Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Los Blancos, to boost his team’s depth in the upcoming season. The Madrid juggernauts can compete for some significant championships this season with the assistance of the Spanish defensive ace. He would, all things considered, be a respectable candidate for Real Madrid to pursue on loan when the transfer market opens at the beginning of the following year.
