Real Madrid makes contact with Lille to sign defender Leny Yoro

Lille are demanding $64.5m for Leny Yoro who has been in good form this season.

Real Madrid have pushed for the signing of a defender and they have made contact with Lille over the signing of Leny Yoro.

The young gun has been outstanding for Lille and is part of the first team. The 18-year-old has featured in 19 Ligue 1 matches, scoring two goals.

Since graduating from the club’s academy in April 2022, Yoro has featured 42 times for Lille, scoring three times, with one goal arriving in the Europa Conference League.

Leny Yoro came through the academy setup in 2022. He has played 42 matches for the Ligue 1 club and scored three goals. His one goal came in the Europa Conference League.

He can also find a place in the national team of France. The young talent will target the World Cup 2026 but the centre-back needs a solid club where he can establish himself as one of the best defenders. He has represented France at Under-21 level, earning seven caps over the past year.

As per the reports of Marca, Real Madrid have made contact with Lille over the signing of Yoro ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report adds that Lille are demanding $64.5m for the 18-year-old, who has started 18 of 20 Ligue 1 matches this season.

Los Blancos could lose long-serving defender Nacho at the end of the season. The 34-year-old’s contract with Real Madrid will expire in the summer.
