Real Madrid still interested in securing services of Erling Haaland in 2024

Real Madrid have now been made aware of his release clause.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is still on the wishlist of Real Madrid. They are planning a potential move in the summer of 2024. They have been aware of the release clause in the Norwegian’s contract with City.

The Spanish giants are monitoring the progress of the Norway international and they are keen to bring him to Madrid. The 23-year-old made the summer move from Dortmund in 2021.

Haaland was in outstanding touch in his debut season and played a key role in helping the City win the treble.

As per the reports of Spanish outlet AS via Sport Witness, Real Madrid have now been made aware of his release clause, which is believed to be in the region of £171.6m and will become active next year.

The value of the release clause is set to decrease in every transfer window beyond 2024 until the contract expires in 2027. He made a record in his debut season, scoring 36 goals in the Premier League. He beat Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, who set the previous record in 42-match seasons.
