Eden Hazard has no sympathy in his bones for Chelsea.
The Belgian warned his former side that Real Madrid will be visiting Stamford Bridge fully motivated to win.
After a closely-fought 1-1 draw in the first leg, the Champions League semi-final tie is still wide open between these two teams. Hazard, who has struggled with injuries all season, finally returned to face the Blues on Tuesday. He could the return leg on Wednesday.
Hazard said, “It could be better and it could be worse! We will go there looking for the win. I am just going step by step, of course I want to play, I want to be on the pitch. I played a bit more today than before, we have games before the end of the season and I want to be ready. I am just happy to be playing again. It’s always good to play against friends. Now I am a Real Madrid player so I just want to win.”
Real Madrid really need to score as a 0-0 scoreline will send Chelsea through on away goals. Zinedine Zidane fielded an unorthodox three-man backline against the Blues. It will be interesting to see if he sticks to his tactics in the next game.
