Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Bayern 04 Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong

Frimpong has had a good season in Germany after putting up a number of impressive performances on the right side of Leverkusen’s defence. This season, the 21-year-old has two goals and eight assists in 30 outings for the German club across several competitions.

In the Bundesliga, the Amsterdam-born prodigy has accomplished 1.3 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 1.4 clearances, 1.0 crucial passes, and 2.0 dribbles per game. Based on his pass success record of 81.9 percent in the German top flight, he has even taken care of the ball when dispersing possession out from the back.

Frimpong’s speed and agility allow him to make a couple good runs with the ball out on the wide zones. He has shown to be a capable back-up defender who can keep the ball moving in the opponent’s half. This season, the Dutch prodigy has added a couple of goals and assists to his tally, making him a solid option for Los Blancos to pursue in the summer.

Furthermore, in the future seasons, Frimpong might provide some good rivalry for Dani Carvajal at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The Leverkusen whizkid will offer a lot of pace and energy to Ancelotti’s first squad.

Frimpong is flexible enough to play both full-back positions well and has the potential to be a great player in his position eventually.
